Like you, we've been following the news of the Coronavirus with great concern for those impacted. In light of this, we want to be proactive in sharing our perspective and our plans as a medical facility.

While we aren't driven by worry, and as a medical practice we always provide a standard of care with the enforcement of OSHA at all times for all patients and staff members.  But as with all airborne or fluid borne illnesses we want to be wise as well. Please be mindful of guidance from local health agencies. Here are some important, practical steps you can take:

  1.  Stay at home when you are sick.
  2.  Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  3.  Cover your sneeze or cough with a tissue or your arm.
  4.  Get in the habit of not touching your face.
  5.  Let's skip handshakes and hugs for the time being, in favor of a friendly wave or smile.
  6.  Wearing a mask is required at all times while in the office
  7.  Contact your doctor right away if you think you may the virus.
  8.  If you have traveled to a virus hotspot, such as South Korea, Iran, Italy, China or Japan, we urge you to stay isolated until 14-days have passed.
  9.  If you or someone you know tests positive for the virus, please let us know so we can find ways to help, pray and take any necessary precautions.

At Robert Andrews Medical Aesthetics, we want to care for the well-being of our practice and our community. Here are steps we're taking to keep our office clean and minimize risk:

  1.  We're increasing our cleaning and sanitizing schedule for frequently touched surfaces.
  2.  Our staff wash their hands frequently, stay home if they are sick, and follow all the precautions noted above.
  3.  Although thoroughly washing your hands is the best approach, we will also provide additional hand sanitizer stations for everyone to use.
  4.  As is our regular practice, the chairs in the lobby and all treatment rooms in our practice are sanitized after each service.

If you'd like to have a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding the virus, visit El Paso County Public Health.

We hope you'll join us in praying for all those impacted by the virus. We'll continue to be vigilant, prepare for contingencies that might arise and monitor developments in real-time. We'll keep you posted if further measures become necessary in the weeks ahead. No matter what comes, let's press on in living well and staying healthy.  Please let us know at any time if you have concerns 719-434-3075.

Why Would I Need a Breast Reduction?

Five Benefits of IV Hydration Therapy

Your body is mostly water, so when your tank runs low you feel the effects all over. You can solve mild depletion by chugging extra water, but serious hydration calls for more efficient measures — IV hydration therapy.

Four Minimally Invasive Ways to Reduce Scars

From minor cuts to major lacerations, any breach can cause a scar. And depending on the size, type, and location, scars can be unsightly, itchy, painful, and limiting. Fortunately, there are ways to diminish your scars and their symptoms.
